Dear Parents and Guardians,
Can you believe that we're 3/4 of the way through the school year? They say time flies when you're having fun and I can genuinely say that I have had a great time learning from and teaching your teenagers. They truly have some amazing and wise perspectives to share in discussions and through their writing!
If you have a chance, give your son or daughter a pat on the back, we're just about done writing their first ever research papers which is a HUGE accomplishment as it is no easy task. If your son or daughter is not yet working on their final drafts, please remind them that we will be working on them in class this week and it is a large percentage of their grade. You might also want to ask them what social justice topic they did their research about as they have become research experts and are taking some unique stances on their topics!
I have been so proud to watch my students grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially this year. High school really is a time to watch them blossom into independent young adults and enforce these important skills and values in their lives.
A quick reminder that parent teacher conferences are this Wednesday and Thursday. I would love to meet some of you in person and see others of you again! It's always so nice to get to know the families of my students and give you individualized feedback on his/her work this year.
CONFERENCE SCHEDULE:
Wednesday: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM
AND
Thursday: 5:00 PM- 7:30 PM
